Report on the timetable for consideration of the Public Audit
(Wales) Bill
1. On 9 July 2012, a Government Bill, ‘Public Audit (Wales) Bill’, was introduced in the Assembly.
2. On 19 June 2012, the Business Committee agreed, in accordance with Standing Order 26.9, to refer the Bill to the Public Accounts Committee, to consider and report on the general principles.
3. In accordance with Standing Order 26.7, the Business Committee established a timetable for the Committee’s consideration of the general principles of the Bill and has agreed that the Committee should report to the Assembly by 23 November 2012.
4. The
Business Committee also agreed that Stage 2 proceedings should be
completed by 1 February 2013, subject to the general principles of
the Bill being agreed by the Assembly.
